Handles

Handle your business.
Off the court.

Handles is the part of the job you didn't sign up for: who's booked, who paid, who's still got sessions left. Run it on memberships, on packs, or one session at a time. The money lands in your own Stripe account, and Handles doesn't take a percentage.

Every screen below is the real app, running on sample data.

Tonight's roster is in a group text

You scroll back three days to figure out who's coming.

Payment is a favor you keep asking for

Some families pay the day you ask. Others you ask three times, or you quietly eat it.

Sunday night is admin night

Chasing texts, checking Venmo, rebuilding next week by hand.

Here's the whole thing, screen by screen

The Today screen: a 4:00 PM private session with one athlete already marked Here, a 5:30 PM group session with three athletes and one open spot, and a 7:00 PM group session, each athlete tagged Membership or Credit. A week grid from Monday August 3 to Sunday August 9 showing two to three sessions per training day with fill counts such as 4 of 4 and 3 of 4, above a weekly availability panel listing 11 slots. A roster of 16 athletes with age, the parent who pays and their phone, a Member badge where a membership is active, and a remaining-sessions column showing values like 1, 3, 6 and 12. A revenue screen showing $2,680.00 per month of recurring revenue across 11 active members, an average of $243.64 per member, and a members table listing each athlete's plan, monthly amount and start date. The parent booking page: Coach Ray Mitchell, with sessions grouped by date showing time, gym, address, price and remaining spots such as 1 spot left and 3 spots left.

Today · attendance in one tap

Thursday, 3:55 PM · parked outside the gym

Your whole day before you walk in.

Every session today, who's in it, and how each of them is paying. Tap Here or No-show as they walk in.

Mark a kid Here and the session comes off their pack. Nothing to reconcile when you get home.

The Today screen on a phone: Thursday August 20, a live-now pill for the 7:00 PM session, an In Session card, and counts for sessions, athletes and checked in.

Sunday night · setting the week

Set your week once and leave it.

Say you train Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Tell Handles that once and it keeps eight weeks of sessions on the board ahead of you.

Set the cap per slot: one kid for a private, six for a group. Once it's full it's full, and nobody talks their way in.

The week schedule on a phone: Aug 17 to 23, with each training day's sessions and their fill counts.

A new family asks how you charge

Monthly, by the session, or both.

Some families settle into a monthly plan. Others buy a pack and work through it a session at a time. You don't have to pick one, and you don't have to move anybody over.

Packs count down on their own. Nobody's editing a number in a spreadsheet, so "he's got three left" stops being a conversation.

The client roster on a phone: each athlete as a card with age, the paying parent and phone, a Member badge, and remaining credits.

    The 1st of the month

    The memberships bill themselves.

Families on a monthly plan get charged on their own card, on schedule, straight into your Stripe account. Handles doesn't take a percentage of it.

Stripe charges its own processing fee. That part's between you and Stripe.

The revenue screen on a phone: $2,680.00 per month recurring, 11 active members, and $243.64 average per member.

A new parent texts you · “do you have room?”

    Send them the link instead.

They see what's actually open Thursday, pick one, and they're on the roster. Nothing to install and no account to make, which is why they actually finish.

Existing families book from the same link and cancel from a private one. Cancel late and your policy decides whether they get the session back, and the app is the one that says it, not you.

The parent booking page on a phone: Coach Ray Mitchell, with sessions by date showing time, gym, price and remaining spots.

    Do you take a cut?

No percentage of your sessions. Families pay into your Stripe account, not ours. Stripe's own processing fee still applies.

Will you market to my families?

No. Handles isn't a marketplace and it won't find you clients. Your families are yours, and nobody else is advertising to them.

    Can I switch over gradually?

Yes. Bring families over one at a time. Plans and packs run side by side, so nothing has to change on a deadline.

Isn't this just a booking app?

A booking app takes the slot. It doesn't know who's on a plan, who's got sessions left, or who actually showed up. That's the part that eats your night.

    What it replaces

    • The group textOne list that's always right
    • “Venmo me when you can”A card on file that charges itself
    • A notes app of who owes whatSessions left, counted for you

Handles is early, and it's opening to a few coaches at a time. If it looks like your setup, tell me how you train and I'll get you running.

No card, nothing to install. Pricing isn't set yet, so the coaches who come in early help set it.
